Mindfulness skills training deepens sustained resilience and champions civility among policing personnel and professional staff within a police agency. Mindfulness changes the conversation and the experience around occupational stress and trauma. Training mindfulness is a preventative measure that equips special constables to deal with occupational stress with a higher capacity for awareness, applying compassion, empathy, non-judgement.
Mindful Reach is offering OSCA members free access to their Mindful Reach Stress Management Course
Built on the core practices of mindfulness, positive psychology, and behavioural change principles, this life-changing evidence-based course provides participants with a step-by-step program that will enable them to manage their everyday stressors. This course comprises of 15 hands-on sessions in which participants learn to incorporate easy yet effective stress-management techniques into their daily life. The content employs tools that may be beneficial in the management of anxiety, stress, and PTSD, among others.
